Three Livingston County girls lacrosse players who are no strangers to all-state recognition made the first team this season as selected by the Michigan Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association.
Hartland senior goalie Claire Pielack, Brighton senior defender Abby Kissel and Brighton junior midfielder Kelly McKaig were chosen to the first team.

In all, the county had 18 players from three schools receive some type of all-state recognition.
Pielack is a repeat first-team selection who also made All-America for the second time. She has been on the all-state team all four years at Hartland, making the third team as a freshman and sophomore.

Pielack stopped 57.1% of the shots she faced while playing every minute against the state’s top teams. She was often pulled early during KLAA blowouts. Hartland allowed double-digit goal totals in only three of its last 16 games, all to teams that advanced to at least the regional championship round (equivalent to the state quarterfinals).

McKaig, a second-team all-stater last year, also received All-America honors after a season in which she scored 63 goals and 19 assists. She had 12 hat tricks in 20 games, including four games with at least five goals. McKaig had two five-goal performances against state runner-up South Lyon.

Kissel moved up to the first team after receiving honorable mention in 2024 and making the second team in 2025. She was the backbone of a Brighton defense that allowed double figures only four times in 20 games against one of the state’s toughest schedules. She caused 12 turnovers and picked up 14 ground balls.
Making second-team all-state were Hartland attack Reese Tomyn, Brighton midfielder Quinn Holdridge, Hartland midfielder Maddy Jenkins, Hartland defender Brynne Sargeant and Brighton defender Elle Catignani.

Third-team selections were Brighton goalie Behlke Graves, Brighton attack Isabella Orton, Hartland midfielder Amanda Norton, Brighton defender Vivian Eckerman and Hartland defender AJ Johnson.
