1st overall NHL draft pick to make debut Saturday

The wait is finally over for Toronto Maple Leafs fans. Gavin McKenna, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, will make his preseason debut Saturday night when Toronto hosts the Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Arena.

McKenna will get his first taste of game action in a Maple Leafs uniform after sitting out the team's Prospect Challenge.
