Seeking to snap a streak of four consecutive losing football seasons, Ravenna has a great chance to build early momentum this year.

The Ravens' early schedule includes a four-game homestand against Normandy, Niles McKinley, Springfield and Woodridge. The first three — the Invaders, Red Dragons and Spartans — combined to win two games last year. Ravenna should certainly have a number of competitive games in the early going. The Ravens played one-score games against all of this season's nonconference foes in 2025, topping the Red Dragons in overtime and falling to the Falcons and Invaders by a combined five points.

Ravenna will go easy on the bus mileage in 2026, and it isn't just that four-game homestand. The Ravens play just four road games and their longest trip is to Cuyahoga Falls, roughly 16 miles to the west.

With the bevy of changes to the Metro Athletic Conference, Ravenna will face a couple of new but familiar foes in its final season in the MAC. The Ravens have a rich history against both Tallmadge (Week 6) and Cuyahoga Falls (Week 8). They faced the Blue Devils every season in nonleague play from 2010 to 2021 and shared a couple of conferences —the old Metro and the Western Reserve Conference — with the Black Tigers. Ravenna last faced Cuyahoga Falls in 2004.

Meanwhile, the Ravens' biggest game of all, against Roosevelt, switches from Week 1 (as it was the last three years) to Week 10. That will change, of course, in 2027 when the Ravens move to the Greater Portage Athletic Conference and the Rough Riders remain in the MAC.
