2026 Streetsboro High School football schedule, first glance

Norton and Streetsboro have ruled the Metro for a while now.
Either the Rockets or Panthers have won at least a share of the last eight league titles, going back to when the Metro Athletic Conference was the Portage Trail Conference's Metro Division. Streetsboro won titles in 2019, 2020 and 2024, and Norton won championships in 2018, 2021, 2022 (shared with Cloverleaf and Woodridge), 2023 and 2025.

But the league has largely belonged to the Rockets and Panthers. Indeed, Streetsboro hasn't lost to a non-Norton Metro team since 2022. This is a different Metro Athletic Conference, however, with the addition of Cuyahoga Falls, Roosevelt and Tallmadge, and Streetsboro is arguably facing its toughest schedule, both league and nonleague, in a while.
The Rockets' MAC schedule starts with last year's champion, Norton, with a tricky trip to Kent the week after. Their nonconference schedule features three teams that made the postseason last year — Copley, Manchester and Alliance. Five of Streetsboro's first six opponents competed in the tournament last year, also including Cloverleaf and Norton.
Although most of the Rockets' opponents are highly familiar — eight of 10 are the same as a year ago — their Week 2 clash with Manchester will be the teams' first meeting since 2003 and Streetsboro hasn't faced Tallmadge (Week 10) in at least half a century.
