Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2028 football signing class.

Five-star offensive tackle Antijuan Wilkes Jr. named Tennessee in his top 12 schools, along with Michigan State, Michigan, Georgia, Miami, Missouri, Texas A&M, Ohio State, LSU, Florida, Alabama and Oregon, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot-7, 280-pound prospect is from Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan. Rivals ranks him as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the class and No. 1 player in Michigan.

Tennessee offered Wilkes Jr. a scholarship on May 5. He has not visited the Vols.

Kent State was the first school to offer Wilkes Jr. a scholarship on March 20, 2025. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Western Michigan, Toledo, Bowling Green, Indiana, Miami University, Southern Miss, Pittsburgh, Florida International, Wisconsin, Ohio, Nebraska, California, Purdue, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Kentucky, Iowa State, Illinois and UCLA.

Tennessee does not have a commitment in its 2028 recruiting class.

The Vols have eight commitments in their 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler, wide receiver KeSean Bowman, defensive back Carter Jamison and defensive back Brandon Leavell.
