The New England Patriots have several players who appear poised to have breakout seasons in 2026.

New England was one of the most active teams in the open market this offseason, as they restructured their wide receiver room, added to their offensive line and fortified their defense with star talent. Not only are there returning players in line to take the next step in 2026, but also new members of the team that are in an ideal situation to thrive.

Let’s take a look at players for the Patriots who have the potential to break out in 2026.

Prior to the Patriots’ trade for A.J. Brown, Doubs was in line to be the team’s No. 1 receiver. Though he is now New England’s No. 2 option in the passing game, Doubs still has the potential to put up meaningful numbers next season.

Teams including the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions had two 1,000-yard receivers last season, proving that such a dynamic is more than feasible for the Patriots to have in 2026. The Patriots have many mouths to feed in their receiving corps, but Doubs can receive the necessary targets to increase his production in 2026 from the 724 receiving yards he recorded in 2025.

Jones had a career year in 2025. The Ohio State product recorded seven sacks and 24 quarterback hits last season playing for the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens, and he was an impact player for both teams.

Next season, Jones will be New England’s starting edge rusher, which will position him to increase his sack output and be more effective against the pass, as well as the run, playing alongside top talent in Harold Landry III, Christian Barmore and Milton Williams in the front four. A double-digit sack season is not out of the realm of possibility by any stretch for Jones.

Campbell had his share of highs and lows last season as a rookie, but he has something to prove heading into next season, which primes him to make a jump in 2026. The LSU product will be playing alongside an improved offensive line, with a full year of experience under his belt and Super Bowl expectations yet again for the team.

Campbell will likely reduce the five sacks and 26 total pressures that he allowed in 2025 next season, making him a breakout candidate to watch at the pivotal left tackle position for New England.
