The Cleveland Browns are 8-26 over the last two seasons and have had the league's lowest-scoring offense on top of it. All of this cost Kevin Stefanski his job after six seasons, and it may be best for his career moving forward. The Browns are never short of unanswered questions heading into any season, especially when it comes to the QB position in almost three decades, so let's take a look at what issues Cleveland is facing heading into training camp.

The Browns have chosen to stay with Deshaun Watson on the final year of a $230 million contract. Is it because he will definitely be named the starter? Well, no... It's because if they were to part with Watson right now, they would be hit with severe cap penalties. He has missed 49 of a possible 68 games, but the Browns may give him a legitimate shot to start and try to squeeze one more season out of him. Will he win the job if completely healthy?

This may be a rare discussion that comes up in any training camp for any team, but the punt coverage for the Browns will be under the microscope during camp. It was a complete disaster in 2025. Opponents returned two punts for touchdowns and blocked two more. Special teams coordinator Bryan Storer will have his hands full trying to avoid repeating that.

New head coach Todd Monken has energized the Browns this offseason. How long this lasts will depend on how successful the team is later in the fall. If the Browns start slow, who knows what will happen, but Monken seems to be at least holding every single Browns player accountable for their jobs.
