SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The 49th annual Ringneck Softball Tournament got underway on Friday with 75 teams across four age divisions competing for a title.

Venom 5, Flash 5

It was an all Sioux Falls matchup in game one with the Flash taking on the Venom. In the top of the first, the Flash scored two runs on a long RBI double and followed that up with striking out the side in the circle.

However the Venom would bite back in the later innings and this game would end in a 75-minute time limit draw at 5-5.

SD Boom 5, Prodigy 18U (NE) 3

The Boom were out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inninf before putting two runners on and then scoring one with an RBI single through the left side to make it 3-0.

In the bottom half, Prodigy got a run back in the exact same situation with nearly an identical hit as well. The game was 3-1 Boom at that point and each team added two more runs before this one ended, a 5-3 win by the Boom.
