5-star Georgia QB decommit making his first career start

Former five-star Georgia Bulldogs quarterback commitment Jared Curtis will make his first career start for the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, Sept. 19 against the NC State Wolfpack. Curtis flipped from Georgia to Vanderbilt at the last moment before the early signing period. One big reason Curtis flipped to Vanderbilt was the greater potential for early playing time.

Curtis lost the quarterback competition to start Vanderbilt's Week 1 game to senior Blaze Berlowitz. However, now Curtis has the upper hand. Curtis was a five-star recruit and was widely regarded as the No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2026.
