A.J. Brown has a high-ankle sprain
Updating previous reports, New England Patriots WR A.J. Brown (ankle) was preliminarily diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. X-rays were negative, and he'll have an MRI Thursday, Sept. 10.
Why it Matters: This is likely going to be a multi-week injury, and you'll have to plan to be without him for two to six weeks. Mack Hollins stepped up with four catches for 51 yards, mostly in the second half when Brown went out. He'll be a popular waiver claim and will serve as a WR5 depth piece in the interim.
