All Star Midgets reviving pavement racing
Ken de la Bastide , The Herald Bulletin, Anderson, Ind.Tue, Jun 2, 2026·2 min readThere is an on-going effort to revitalize pavement Midget racing by the All Star Midget Series with events scheduled at several Indiana venues.
The series has the first race of 2026 at the Owosso Speedway in Michigan on Wednesday to run in conjunction with a winged sprint car event.

The All Star Midget Series will make its first appearance at Anderson Speedway on July 18 as part of Madison County Celebrates America 250.
Included on that racing program is a 100-lap event for the USA Tire Modified Series.
The Owosso entry list for the Midget race includes many drivers that have recently competed in the Unified Group Services Little 500.
Little 500 champion Kody Swanson is entered along with two-time Little 500 winner Jake Trainor.
NASCAR competitor Christopher Bell is entered along with Sammy Swindell, a former World of Outlaws champion.

Other competitors include Dakoda Armstrong, Billy Wease, Kyle O’Gara, Nick Hamilton, Kaylee Bryson and Michael Lewis.
Former Kenyon Midget Series competitors Aryton Houk, Lee Pierce and Trey Osborne are all entered in the Midget race.
The series will make three appearances at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, Plymouth Speedway and the Indianapolis Speedrome.
With 20 entries for the Michigan race it could be a good indication of the expected entries in future races.
Midgets have always provided some excellent racing at Anderson Speedway and the July 18 event should not be disappointing.

Palou sat on the pole position for the Detroit race last weekend and went on to record his fourth win of the year.
He leads Kyle Kirkwood by 62 points with David Malukas sitting in third.
What has been impressive in IndyCar racing, aside from the dominance of Palou, is the rebound by Graham Rahal this year.
Rahal has recorded three podium finishes on road and street courses this year and is currently ninth in the point standings.
