The Canadian Rockies Premier Event brings together top-tier student robotics teams from across the world, including Romania, China and Libya. For the Altus team, the invitation rewards months of brutal engineering design, programming and teamwork.

But for a small community team, securing funding to cross the border and represent Altus on the international stage is essential.

"Our team has poured countless hours into building and refining our robot, and earning this invitation is a dream come true," said Arrin Brummett, Lead Coach. "This trip isn't just about competing; it's about showing other kids in Altus that geography doesn't limit their potential. We want to bring this experience back to our area schools and community to prove what rural Texoma-region youth can achieve in STEM."

The $10,900 raised will help cover team registration fees, the logistics of transporting the robots, accomodations and travel expenses for both the students and their mentors.

The team plans to launch a local outreach initiative once they return from Edmonton. The initiative will see team members host interactive robotics demonstrations, volunteer at area schools, and mentor younger students to foster a growing community of STEM enthusiasts in Altus.
