Amboy wins battle of 8-man football powerhouses in Polo

POLO, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) —A four-peat could be in the cards for reigning three-time Illinois 8-man football state champion Amboy. The Clippers ran away from another powerhouse Polo Friday night 44-16.Polo has won two I8FA state championships itself in recent seasons. Last year these two teams met in the championship game with Amboy prevailing.Polo was without star running back/defensive back Mercer Mumford. He's out for the remainder of the season with an injury he sustained last week.Amboy's record is now 4-0. Polo is 4-1. Watch the media player for highights.
