The Arizona Cardinals open training camp on Wednesday, July 22, and they face a number of questions. One of the first things they will do is give players physicals and do a conditioning test. After that, some players might end up on lists for their injuries that will keep them from practicing.

Head coach Mike LaFleur said that most of the players coming back from injuries should be ready at the start of training camp, but Cardinals fans should know that timelines can change.

These are the players to watch afetr camp begins:

Both missed most of the season. Conner is coming off a serious ankle injury and Benson a knee injury. Neither practiced during OTAs or minicamp.

He also suffered a serious ankle injury, and he did not practice during the spring.

Nolen suffered a knee injury late in the season. He is expected to be ready for camp, but he also didn't get on-field work in the spring, and the Cardinals brought in three defensive linemen for a tryout on Tuesday. One will certainly be to replace rookie Kaleb Proctor, who will miss significant time with a torn meniscus, perhaps even the entire season.

He tore his Achilles late in the year. He isn't expected to be ready at the start of camp, so he will surely begin on PUP (physically unable to perform list). However, he could be ready to start the season.

Sharar is a rookie and was drafted in the sixth round. He suffered a pretty severe hamstring injury in the spring.

Gillikin missed the final 12 games of the season with a back injury. He re-signed with the team, so that seemed to alleviate concerns. However, the Cardinals tried out two punters on Tuesday, so it is something to watch.
