Arizona Diamondbacks bringing back Torey Lovullo as manager

The Diamondbacks are bringing back Torey Lovullo on a two-year deal, sticking with their longtime manager despite missing the playoffs for the eighth time in his 10 years on the job.

After guiding the club to a World Series appearance in 2023, Lovullo's teams have fallen just short of wild-card berths each of the past three seasons, and general manager Mike Hazen justified the decision to bring him back by pointing to all the things Lovullo has done to get the club this close in the first place.
