SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA)-Asheville scored nine times in the third inning and rolled to a 17-3 victory over the Hub City Spartanburgers Thursday night, earning a seventh straight win.

The Tourists managed 14 hits, including three by first baseman Jack Moss, who also drove home four runs. They won the first two games of the series by identical 10-8 scores.

Asheville, which posted a 17-48 record in the first half of the South Atlantic League season, sits atop first place in the south division with an 8-4 start to the second half.

Hub City righthander Caden Scarborough, who’s listed as the second best prospect in the Rangers organization, earned an invitation to play in the Futures All-Star game in two weekends ahead of the All-Star game in Philadelphia.
