Avonte Maddox out for the season

Detroit Lions defensive back Avonte Maddox (foot) has a foot injury which needs surgery, and he will miss the remainder of the season, head coach Dan Campbell confirmed Monday, Sept. 21. He was injured in the Week 2 game on Thursday, Sept. 17, against the Buffalo Bills.

The team is re-signing free-agent defensive back Jalen Mills to the practice squad.
