When it comes to the 2026 rookies for the Cincinnati Bengals, most eyes will be on second-round pick Cashius Howell and third-round pick Tacario Davis. But eyes should, and will, be on seventh-round pick Landon Robinson, the defensive tackle from Navy.

Robinson was praised for his relentless motor and physicality throughout the draft process. He is undersized, which led to him falling to the seventh round. But his violent play style more than makes up for his smaller size and he is going to be in the mix to be a part of the defensive line rotation. Especially if he continues to see more work from defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery.

Robinson earned First-team All-American honors in 2025 and was named American Conference Defensive Player of the Year after registering 6.5 sacks and 8.5 tackles for a loss for a Navy team that went 11-2 and defeated Cincinnati in the Liberty Bowl. He also appeared on Bruce Feldman's "Freaks List" three times and that athleticism shows up in his play on the field.

The Athletic's Dane Brugler had this to say about Robinson in his draft guide, "The Beast". "Robinson will be viewed as a classic tweener for most schemes, but his quickness and energy lead directly to production. Whether he is drafted or signs as an undrafted free agent, look for him to make it extremely hard for an NFL team to cut him in camp."
