Bison Women’s Soccer wins 3 Patriot POTW awards

LEWISBURG, PA(WBRE/WYOU)— Bucknell Women's Soccer capture three Patriot League Conference awards in its efforts last week against the #23 ranked Villanova Wildcats. First year keeper Sarah McFarland won the Patriot Freshman of the Week, and Goalkeeper of the Week awards. Freshman Clare Nemsick also took home the conference Defender of the Week award.

McFarland made eight saves for Bucknell in a clean sheet tie against the Wildcats. The total is a career high for the first-year starter in net. McFarland is tied atop the Patriot League totals for shutouts this season with three already in 2026.
