Cotuit struck in the bottom of the third inning as Dawson Park (Texas State) hit an RBI double to center field. Later in the inning, Noah Coy (Notre Dame) scored on a fielder's choice to give the Kettleers a 2-1 edge.

Cotuit scored again on a Coy RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning.

In other Cape Cod Baseball League action:

Hyannis Harbor Hawks 3, Falmouth Commodores 0

The Harbor Hawks (11-14) only scored in one inning, but it was enough in a win over the Commodores (10-12-2).

The Hyannis pitching was strong to earn a shutout win. Brady St. Pierre (Southeastern Louisiana), Bruce Littleton (Southern Mississippi), Cohen Gomez (Stanford), Kevin Landry Farr (Southern Mississippi) and Truitt Webb (Southeastern Louisiana) combined to keep the Commodores off the scoreboard.

The pitchers only allowed five hits and one walk. They struck out nine batters. Littleton and Gomez had three strikeouts apiece.

Hyannis scored all three of their runs in the top of the second inning. Henry Zenor (South Carolina-Upstate) reached on an infield hit and had two runs scored off an error. Zenor later scored on a fielder's choice to make it 3-0 Harbor Hawks.

For Falmouth, Casen Murphy (Louisville) did not allow a hit in four innings with one walk and two strikeouts.

Wareham Gatemen 6, Orleans Firebirds 2

The Gatemen (7-17) scored early and did not let up in a win over the Firebirds (8-17).

For Wareham, Coen Niclai (Arizona State) went 4-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI. Tony Lira (Arizona) went 2-for-4 with one run and two RBIs. Henry DiGiorgio (Northeastern) went 2-for-4 with one run scored.

Wareham's Connor Cuff (Louisiana-Lafayette) singled in a run for the first of the game in the bottom of the first inning. Cuff later scored on a wild pitch.

The Gatemen added to their lead in the bottom of the third inning as Dylan Dubovik (Miami) doubled in a run. Lira then homered for the first time this season to bring in two more runs.

Wareham scored on an RBI double by Niclai in the botttom of the fourth inning.

Orleans had its first run across in the top of the fifth inning when Adam Magpoc (San Diego State) had an RBI single.

Ryan MacDougall (Dayton) scored on an error for the Firebirds in the top of the sixth inning.

Brewster Whitecaps 6, Harwich Mariners 2

The Whitecaps (16-7-2) led most of the way to take down the Mariners (15-10).

Brewster's Cash Strayer (Florida) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Michael Torres (Miami) went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

For Harwich, Cade Kurland (Florida) went 2-for-3 with one run scored. Brayden Jaksa (Oregon) went 2-for-5 with one RBI.

Brewster struck first in the top of the second inning. Strayer hit his third home run of the summer, this time on a line drive to right field, to plate two runs.

The Whitecaps scored again in the top of the third inning as Jay Abernathy (Tennessee) scored on a fielder's choice to give Brewster a 3-1 edge.

Blaine Brown (Tennessee) scored on a bases-loaded hit by pitch in the top of the sixth inning.

Owen Jenkins (Kentucky) tripled to bring in another run in the top of the eighth inning. Torres then had a base hit to score Jenkins.

Harwich scored its first run in the bottom of the second inning. Kurland came home on a wild pitch.

The Mariners scored again in the bottom of the eighth inning when Jaksa singled to center to bring home a run and cut the deficit to 6-2.

Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox 7, Chatham Anglers 3

The Red Sox (20-4-1) kept up their torrid pace with a win over the Anglers (10-13-2).

For Yarmouth-Dennis, Phoenix Call (UCLA) went 2-for-5 with one run and two RBIs. Reid Howard (Western Kentucky) went went 2-for-4 with one run scored.

Y-D scored all seven of their runs in the top of the fourth inning. Call and Dante Vachini (Cal Poly) scored on an error. Kevin Takeuchi (Southern California) scored on a bases-loaded hit by pitch. Brock Ketelsen (Stanford) singled home another run, then Cole Hansen (California Baptist) had another run-scoring base hit. Call added a two-run base hit.

The Anglers scored their first run in the bottom of the fourth inning as Bino Watters (Notre Dame) came home on a sacrifice fly.

Tyler Howe (North Carolina) singled in a run for the Anglers in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Watters had an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning.
