Earlier on today, Sunday the 26th of July, it was reported by Loic Tanzi, amongst others, that PSG winger Bradley Barcola - who is contracted until 2028 - has rejected a contract extension offer from the club.

He states that the reasons are sporting, he is not happy with his game time, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Arsenal listed as sides interested in signing the France international.

Meanwhile, Djameel reports that Barcola was frustrated to find himself on the bench during important games, though he will not force a move away, and has already turned down the aforementioned Chelsea. He also reports that Yan Diomande is the priority replacement. Finally from Djameel, he says that Barcola's priority move is Liverpool.

Elsewhere, Santi Aouna has reported that talks between Liverpool and PSG have already opened discussions regarding a potential transfer. Abdellah Boulma is reporting that PSG want Barcola's replacement signed before sanctioning his sale, and that he will only be sold if the club receives a "major offer".

Fabrizio Romano has also stated that the winger wants to join Liverpool, with the Merseyside outfit "actively working on the deal" and waiting for PSG to "communicate their demands".

Fellow journalist Ben Jacobs has said that Luis Enrique's strategy is clear, as he wants players committed to PSG's project, and that a starting spot is not guaranteed. He also reports that PSG's asking price is 170 million Euros, with Liverpool hoping they can reduce that. The club have pointed to the fees paid for the likes of Elliot Anderson (to Manchester City), and Morgan Rogers (to Chelsea), as a benchmark for what they can demand.

So, there you have all the reports from today. All largely marrying up with each other. What we know is that Barcola wants to leave PSG this summer, and his preferred destination is Liverpool. We also know that the club will not let him go on the cheap, despite the refusal to sign a new contract.

The problem then is, if his asking price is not met this summer, he would then only have one year remaining on his contract next summer, leaving the club somewhat powerless as to fee they can demand, so that is something worth keeping an eye on for sure. Certainly does not feel like the last we will hear regarding Barcola this summer, let's see.
