Broncos Wire's 91-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at fifth-year defensive lineman Jordan Jackson, No. 94.

Before the Broncos: Jackson (6-4, 294 pounds) was selected by the New Orleans Saints out of Colorado's own Air Force Academy in the sixth round (194th overall) in the 2022 NFL draft. Jackson was the only member of a US service academy to be selected in the 2022 draft process. In one year with the Saints, Jackson spent all of his time on the practice squad.

Broncos tenure: Jackson only lasted one season in the Big Easy, before being released and entering free agency. Jackson was signed by the Denver Broncos prior to the 2023 season, but he spent all of his time on the practice squad that year. In 2024, Jackson dressed for all 17 games, forcing one fumble and making 17 total tackles (four solo, 13 assisted, one tackle for loss), and recording one sack. Jackson saw his playing time slashed significantly, dressing for five games, making just seven total tackles (three solo, four assisted). Prior to the 2026 season, Jackson was placed on a one-year ERFA tender, showing the Broncos didn't want to let him walk in free agency.

Chances to make the 53-man roster: On the roster bubble. With the free agency departure of star lineman John Franklin-Myers, there is a gaping hole left on the line, and many players who could fill it. Jackson will be in a fierce competition against Eyioma Uwazurike, Sai'vion Jones, 2026 draftee Tyler Onyedim and veteran Matt Henningsen for the starting role. Defensive line is a crucial position to watch going into the 2026 campaign.
