Browns roster: CB depth chart and expectations
The Cleveland Browns have done a pretty good job over the past four to five seasons of cultivating and developing talent at the cornerback position, and they should be able to reap the benefits of it again in 2026. Denzel Ward has been lights-out since 2021, and the trade for Tyson Campbell last season turned out to be an excellent move by Andrew Berry and Co.
It’s a bit sketchy in terms of depth behind those two guys, though, with Myles Harden and Dom Jones not necessarily living up to expectations yet. Myles Bryant was brought in as a free agent and could end up being a legitimate rotational piece in 2026, as he’s been productive in the slot for both New England and Houston over the past five years.

Denzel Ward and Tyson Campbell both have above-average seasons, and Myles Harden finally impresses and ultimately develops into the team’s slot corner of the future. Myles Bryant and Dom Jones can form a strong rotational duo as well, helping the team build a top-notch passing defense by the end of the season.
Denzel Ward can’t stay healthy, Tyson Campbell takes a step back in 2026, and Harden doesn’t live up to what the coaches need him to be as a nickel. Myles Bryant plays well, but it isn’t enough to salvage a weak secondary performance this season.

As long as Ward and Campbell provide a solid floor as the starting duo, things should be just as good if not better in 2026 than they were last year. Myles Bryant and Myles Harden “should” also be able to effectively man the slot corner spot this season, and there’s even a chance that Emmanuel McNeil-Warren could see time as a “big” nickel as a rookie too.
Despite having a similar roster aside from Greg Newsome and Cam Mitchell this season, the cornerback group should be better this year with Campbell entering his second season in Cleveland. Bryant is likely a step up in the depth department as well.
