Friday marked a day former North Carolina Tar Heels' wing Caleb Wilson had waited months for. In his first game in the NBA Summer League, he made some history.

Wilson set the NBA Summer League record for most points in his debut: 35 against the Memphis Grizzlies in Las Vegas. Although Chicago lost 97-96, Wilson scored the last six points for the Bulls and hit two straight 3-pointers.

The wing scored 35 by doing something he rarely did at North Carolina. He went 7 of 11 from the 3-point line. He attempting 27 3-pointers in his entire college career.

Wilson played 33 minutes after starting the game for the Bulls. While it was a struggle for the team as a whole at times, Wilson was a big bright spot.

The game came against a familiar foe as well. Wilson and the Bulls faced No. 3 pick Cameron Boozer and the Memphis Grizzlies. The two faced off one time last season. Wilson and UNC beat Boozer and Duke.

While it was only one summer league game, it was a heck of a debut for Wilson.
