Charlotte Hornets jersey history No. 3 Khalid Reeves 1995-1996

In November of 1995, the Charlotte Hornets acquired Khalid Reeves, who was a minor piece in a blockbuster trade made with the Miami Heat. Charlotte received Reeves, Matt Geiger, Glen Rice and a first-round pick in the 1996 NBA Draft (which turned out to be Tony Delk) in exchange for Alonzo Mourning, Pete Myers and LeRon Ellis. Following the trade, Reeves didn't stay with the Hornets long, lasting just 20 games before being traded to the New Jersey Nets in a deal for Gerald Glass and Kenny Anderson.

During his 20 games in Charlotte, Reeves averaged 8.1 points, 3.6 assists, two rebounds and 0.8 steals. Reeves would go on to play six NBA seasons in total, making 277 appearances between the Heat, Hornets, Nets, Mavericks, Pistons and Bulls. His strongest campaign came during his rookie season, where the former No. 12 overall pick averaged 9.2 points, 4.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals.
