Chiefs Reportedly Hid Their Interest In Drafting Edge Rusher

Draft subterfuge is a game that every team in the NFL loves to play, and the Kansas City Chiefs apparently played it with some gusto in their pursuit of Oklahoma edge rusher R Mason Thomas, according to a report from Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk that noted the Chiefs' efforts to hide their interest in Thomas.

They fooled a lot of people, including Thomas himself, when they drafted Thomas in the second round. It was fairly well known that the Chiefs were looking to beef up their pass rush, but they didn't talk to Thomas after the scouting combine, per the report.
