CI Prep Sports Recap for Sept. 19, 2026

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) -- Another big weekend of prep sports in Central Illinois.

In flag football action, Richwoods defeated Peoria High 30-19. The Knights held a 24-7 lead in the second half, but the Lions fought back with QB Kayla Newby-Holsome rushing for a touchdown and then throwing a touchdown pass to Amara Pinkey to cut the deficit to 24-19.
