Commanders' Sam Cosmi suffers late-game injury vs. Cowboys

The Washington Commanders were among the most injured teams in the NFL last season. Things started off worryingly this summer when five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil tore his triceps on Aug. 8. Defensive tackle Johnny Newton later lost time with a torn pectoral.

In Washington's season opener at Philadelphia, linebackers Frankie Luvu (groin) and Jordan Magee (hamstring), and tight end Chig Okonkwo (hamstring), were injured. Magee was placed on injured reserve, while Luvu and Okonkwo were ruled out for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
