Commanders provide updates on a pair of injured starters

The Washington Commanders returned to practice on Wednesday ahead of Sunday's Week 2 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. Before taking the field, Washington revealed a roster move. The Commanders were signing 10-year veteran offensive lineman Lucas Patrick. Fans have been clamoring for GM Adam Peters to add veteran offensive line help, and Patrick helps fill that need.

To sign Patrick, the Commanders needed to make room. In a corresponding move, they placed third-year linebacker Jordan Magee on injured reserve. That means Magee will be out for at least the next four weeks. Magee injured his hamstring in Sunday's season opener against the Eagles. He was one of four Washington players injured against Philadelphia. Of those four players, only safety Tyler Owens (ankle) practiced on Wednesday.
