Conor McGregor provides update after surgery on injured knee

Conor McGregor expressed optimism about his recovery from injury in a post on Instagram Wednesday, Aug. 5.

"Surgery went excellent,'' the post read. "I am confident."

McGregor, 38, underwent surgery for what he said is an injured ACL and injured meniscus in his right knee. He has said he hopes to return to the octagon within a year.
