The Atlanta Falcons have pulled off two big contract extensions so far this off-season, inking top wide receiver Drake London to a four-year, $141 million deal and tight end Kyle Pitts to a three-year, $54 million extension.

It's been a couple of weeks but we now finally have the details on Pitts' new contract with the Falcons. Here's how it breaks down by cap hits year by year, according to figures available at Over the Cap.

Kyle Pitts cap hits

  • 2029 (void): $27,396,000

Pitts' deal includes $36 million in guarantees, including a $16.785 million signing bonus.

It'sa fair market deal for Pitts, but if it doesn't age well then the earliest the Falcons can get out from under it without an extremely painful dead money hit against the cap savings is in 2028, when they'd save $9.61 million and take a hit of just over $3.4 million.

Pitts' cap hit for 2026 is just a little bit higher than what OTC projected when the deal was announced, which saves the Falcons around $10.4 million in cap space instead of the $11 million we originally put them down for.

That puts Atlanta's current cap space at $37,961,331, which is the fifth-most in the NFL right now.
