Dawson Armstrong wins six-hole playoff at Wichita Open

WICHITA, KAN. (KSNW) — The 2026 Wichita Open was one for the ages as Dawson Armstrong edged Corey Pereira and Harry Lord in a six-hole sudden-death playoff at Crestview Country Club Sunday in the longest playoff at the tournament in 34 years.

The trio finished the 72 holes in regulation tied at 12-under. The three played even through the first three playoff holes before Lord bogeyed the fourth to drop out. Armstrong recorded the first birdie of the playoff on hole six as Pereira needed to restart the hole because his initial tee shot veered out of bounds.
