This is the least talented generation of footballers we're seeing world wide. Due to the lack of generational players, teams have adopted what they hope to be a generational system. Generational players are much harder to find and afford financially, than it is to adopt a cheap system. There's no doubt that system football rules the world. I believe it's primarily because having a system is more attainable than having a squad of prime, individually talented players. In a system, even the weakest can be given a significant role to play and players can be swapped in/out on an as-needed basis. There really isn't a stand out player in system football, just stand out moments. And alot of the glory that comes with a successful implementation of system football that wins trophies, goes to the coach these days, more so than the player/s. Only problem is that system football does not have an answer to a Low Block.
