Discussion: What defines success for Washington Commanders season in 2026?

The Commanders have so much new in place as the full squad reports to training camp on Tuesday. New offensive and defensive coordinators. An overhauled defensive front and linebacker corps. There are new rushers and receivers. There's some new player leadership, with authoritative voices helping captain the roster.  

This group looks younger, faster and more talented than a 2025 crew that regressed into a 5-12 shell of its former self. Injuries severely depleted a Commanders team that reached the NFC title game the year before, which was one of a few factors that sent them tumbling down.
