DMACC transfer Bri Tigges commits to Iowa State

The Iowa State softball team picked up another player for the 2026-27 season as Des Moines Area Community College outfielder Bri Tigges committed to playing for the Cyclones.

Tigges is the fourth portal addition of the offseason, joining Kennedy Diggs (Kansas), Maggie Werner (Minnesota) and Taylor Platt (North Texas).

Following two years at DMACC, she’ll play 19 minutes east of the softball field at the Boone campus. In her two years (2024-25 and 2025-26) wearing the blue and white, she appeared in 134 total games. In those games, she made 386 at-bats, connecting in 147 hits for a batting average of .381. Her hits tallied 29 doubles, five triples and 23 home runs.

Tigges earned 123 runs for the Bears and drove in 96 runs. She walked 66 times and struck out 30 times and recorded a two-year slugging average of .661.

In 99 fielding attempts over two seasons, Tigges recorded 92 putouts, five assists and recorded only two errors.

Tigges recorded a highlight reel catch in against No. 2 Murray State College (Oklahoma, 66-3 on the year) that sent the No. 9 Bears to the NJCAA championship game.

In her time wearing the navy and red of Urbandale, Tigges connected on a combined 213 hits and 23 home runs. She drove in 130 runs, and scored 131 herself.
