The Los Angeles Dodgers hope to maintain their dominance over the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday, June 6.

The Dodgers are rolling out a healthy lineup for the most part, with the return of Max Muncy to the batting order after not starting on Friday.

Muncy came in as a pinch hitter towards the end of the game, but the Angels will have to face him all game long on Saturday.

The offense will need Muncy, especially after they failed to score until the ninth inning when Freddie Freeman broke the deadlock with a walk-off homer.

The offense has been quite good on the whole recently, but Friday’s game was definitely surprising given how poor the Angels’ pitching has been, especially in terms of the bullpen.

However, Saturday is a new day where the bats can support the dominant pitching staff.

Dodgers Lineup vs. Angels

1. Shohei Ohtani, DH2. Andy Pages, CF3. Freddie Freeman, 1B4. Mookie Betts, SS5. Max Muncy, 3B6. Ryan Ward, LF7. Alex Call, RF8. Dalton Rushing, C9. Alex Freeland, 2B

The Dodgers are facing off against a righty in Jack Kochanowicz, though Andy Pages is still going to be in the No. 2 spot. Ryan Ward gets the start at left field with Alex Call giving Kyle Tucker some rest.

Additionally, Alex Freeland replaces Miguel Rojas at second base due to his strong ability to hit against right-handed pitchers.

Shohei Ohtani should have a big night, and Freddie Freeman, who has been swinging the bat well, should keep his sweet swing rolling as well.

Who is pitching for the Dodgers?

The Dodgers are rolling out a Japanese pitcher for a second straight game, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto taking the ball. He is starting to figure things out in 2026, entering Saturday with a 2.86 ERA and 69.1 innings pitched.

Yamamoto has another gear or two left to unlock, and as the season progresses, he should get closer to his best.
