Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has confirmed that Diaz will be activated Friday ahead of the team's three-game weekend series against the San Francisco Giants. However, the veteran reliever will not immediately return to the high-leverage role he was expected to occupy when he signed with Los Angeles.
