The unwritten rule this offseason for the Atlanta Falcons is that any time you discuss the prowess of Drake London, Kyle Pitts or anyone else who might catch a pass this coming season, you have to mention the unfortunate state of their quarterback room.

Dan Parr at NFL.com has observed the tradition in his new fantasy football wide receiver rankings for the 2026 NFL season. London was listed in the first tier at No. 9 overall.

"Drake London would be in the running for the top spot in these rankings if he was on a different team with reliably above average quarterback play," wrote Parr. "Unfortunately for London, the Falcons are choosing between Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. at the position."

While it's getting just a little bit tedious to hear about Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix in any and every analysis on the Falcons, it is important to point out that London has produced strong numbers in his career despite not having the benefit of solid quarterback play as of yet.

As a rookie in 2022 London posted 72 catches, 866 yards and four touchdowns with Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder throwing him the ball. The following year London totaled 69 catches, 905 yards and two touchdowns with Ridder getting the bulk of the work at QB.

In 2024 London managed a career-best 100 receptions, 1,271 yards and nine touchdowns with Kirk Cousins starting - and leading the league in interceptions. Last season London racked up 68 catches, 919 yards and seven scores despite missing five games.

Regardless of which player gets the starting nod at quarterback, fantasy owners can still rely on some very strong production so long as London stays healthy.
