Eintracht Frankfurt have signed midfield talent Noel Aseko from champions Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga club said on Saturday.

Frankfurt said that German under-21 international Aseko has signed a five-year contract until 2031. The transfer fee has been estimated at €13 million ($14.9 million).

Aseko, 20, came to Bayern in 2022, played for their reserves and received a professional contract in 2024 before spending the last 18 months on loan at second division Hanover.

“Noel Aseko was already part of the wider first-team circle at Bayern two years ago for good reasons. Since then, he’s proven at Hanover in a physically demanding league that he also has the physical attributes to take the next step," Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche said.

"We’re confident that, with our coaching team and in our environment, Noel can fully develop his strengths in the Bundesliga. First of all, though, he needs to quickly settle in and integrate well.”
