English out for season days after signing for York

York Knights have lost loanee prop Matty English for the season before he could play a game for the club.

The 28-year-old Huddersfield Giants player signed for the Knights on 29 July but was injured in training before last Saturday's win over St Helens and scans revealed he has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
