The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival is more than just a summer event.

It is a source of community pride, an economic boost and our community identity. Canton, being the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is a unique national treasure that we in the Canton area get to enjoy year-round.

For decades, residents have taken pride in hosting the nation’s largest football celebration, which honors each year’s newest enshrinees with the countless prior Gold Jacket enshrinees returning to our town and their second home each year. Our festival reinforces Canton’s reputation as a destination of excellence in sports.

Our community shows its pride by volunteering at specific festival events along with participating at numerous festival events held throughout the year. The community hosts many friends and family who are welcomed to our area every year to enjoy our celebration of the most popular sport in America, FOOTBALL, a professional sport born right here in Canton, Ohio!

They also show visitors Canton’s pride with their outstanding hospitality.

The festival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year over its weeklong celebration and events; this, along with the millions who view the events on national TV showcasing Canton around the globe. The festival has a huge economic impact on our area with some businesses referring to it as “an extra holiday season” as they flourish with attention and the overall number of visitors to our area.

The festival is a chance to celebrate both local pride and the global legacy of American football. It brings together residents, visitors and Hall of Famers in a shared celebration of the game, fostering a sense of unity and shared history.

In short, the Hall of Fame Festival means pride in being the birthplace of a world class institution, economic vitality and a vibrant year-round destination for Stark County residents and visitors alike.
