Eppley also served as the head football coach for five years at Northridge before resigning after last season.
Led by Eppley, the boys track team won the regional title for the first time since 2015, finished second at the sectional and Northern Lakes Conference meet and 16th at the state finals. That’s the second highest finish for the program at state.
Eppley is leaving Northridge to return to his alma mater Wawasee as a teacher and coach.
“Coach Eppley did an outstanding job of stepping into the head boys track position this year and leading the program,” said Northridge athletic director Ryan Bales. “It was obviously a record-breaking season that he managed very well with the support of the other assistants coaches and head girls track coach Trisha King.
