What happened? Marwan Attia had fouled Lisandro Martinez in Egypt's half. The goal was disallowed because of that foul, as no opposing player had touched the ball afterward. Referee expert Lutz Wagner also confirmed on 'ARD' that the decision was correct: "Correctly overturned." It had been an attacking phase in which no Argentine player touched the ball again.
