Fighting widens across Ethiopia as Tigray clashes escalate

Ethiopia’s military says it has killed more than 270 Tigrayan fighters, in a counter-offensive in the Amhara region. Tigrayan forces have declared they are now in a “full-blown war” with the federal government. There are growing fears of a return to civil war.
