Final injury report update before Texas A&M vs. Kentucky

No. 8 Texas A&M (2-0) will host Kentucky (1-1) for the first time since 2018, as the Aggies look to kick off SEC play 1-0 after blowing out Missouri State 50-0 and Arizona State 48-20 to start the 2026 season. The Wildcats, despite playing competitive football early, fell to Alabama 45-17 at home, even after holding a late lead.

Texas A&M is the better overall team on paper, but SEC play is a whole different animal, especially when deep into the season. Health is everything, and the Aggies entered the 2026 season relatively healthy but have already lost several players, including running back Tiger Riden, freshman wide receiver Madden Williams, and freshman defensive lineman Chace Sims.
