Fiorentina leading race for Mastantuono loan deal -report

Real Madrid winger Franco Mastantuono is set to leave the club on a loan deal this summer and Fiorentina are currently leading the race to sign him, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano. There are other clubs interested in this loan deal like Roma or Valencia, but right now it looks like Mastantuono will play for Fiorentina this upcoming season.

The Argentinian player will turn 19 years old this month, so he still needs time to improve and develop his game. There's no denying that his first season as a madridista was a disappointing one as he failed to adapt to the pace of European football, so an entire season with consistent playing time and a quality role would be ideal for his progress.

Real Madrid will surely monitor his development throughout the 2026-2027 season as Mastantuono tries to earn a spot in next year's rotation.
