Florentino Perez has been focusing on the Real Madrid presidential election in recent weeks, but he’s also done work behind the scenes on transfers. Agreements have already been closed with defensive pair Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries, and he’s hoping that one with Michael Olise ends up following.

Earlier this week, Perez claimed that he would submit a €150m offer for a “Galactico” if he were to be re-elected, and it was later revealed that his target is Olise. The Bayern Munich winger has been linked with Real Madrid in recent months, and he’s since developed into one of their leading targets for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Bayern have no desire to sell Olise, but that has not stopped Perez putting in the work. According to Jorge C. Picon, the 79-year-old has been in contact with the France international’s representatives in recent weeks, as moves are made towards securing an agreement on personal terms before a transfer offer is submitted.

Given Bayern’s strong stance, Real Madrid are aware that agreeing personal terms with Olise would give them a significant boost in their bid to sign him. If an agreement is reached, they could push the player to submit a transfer request, which would give the Bundesliga champions a big decision to make.

There is no doubt that getting a deal done for Olise will be incredibly difficult for Real Madrid to do, but having an agreement in place with the player would make things much easier. It is why Perez has been personally involved in the matter, as he seeks to start off another prospective spell as president with the club’s biggest ever signing in terms of money spent. But for now, it remains to be seen whether there is any further developments.
