Florida DC Brad White talks defense, upcoming matchup with Missouri

Florida football had been mired in mediocrity for the entirety of the current decade, but under Jon Sumrall and his new staff, things have quickly changed in Gainesville. Pessimism has been replaced by optimism now that the Gators have won their first four games of the 2026 campaign.

While the offense has earned a great deal of credit for the program's return to relevance, the defense has also played its part — albeit with plenty of issues that still need to be addressed. First-year DC Brad White has put a great deal of effort into revamping the defensive corps, and his labors are beginning to bear their first fruits.
