Dylan Larkin is a player that would be of interest to a lot of NHL teams.

Larkin has a no-movement clause, which means he's essentially in charge of his destination. At the very least, Larkin can rule out landing spots he doesn't want.
In this kind of situation, a player (or his agent) may give his current team a list of other franchises that he'd accept a deal to.
That way, Detroit could negotiate just with the teams that could actually pull off a deal and get Larkin's approval.
And at least one team sounds like it isn't on that list.
Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports that the Philadelphia Flyers are not an approved team for Larkin:

AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Flyers were a playoff team this past season, unlike the Red Wings, and they do have some solid young talent. They aren't a surefire Stanley Cup contender, though, at least not before some of their youngsters develop.
It's not yet obvious what Larkin might be looking for specifically, so it's hard to just guess his list of possible destinations.
Given the Red Wings' playoff drought, though, one would think Larkin wants a winner. The Flyers could've fit that description, but they must not fit his other desires.
