The FSU baseball team has landed another pitcher out of the transfer portal, and this one has ACC experience. Former Cal Golden Bear Otto Espinoza committed to the Seminoles on Friday, announcing the news on social media.

Espinoza is coming off a solid freshman season at Cal, where he appeared in 15 games and made six starts. He went 2-3 with a 3.69 ERA in 46 1/3 innings, holding opponents to a .212 batting average. He allowed 27 runs (19 earned) on 35 hits and 27 walks, striking out 49 batters.

The righty did a good job limiting opposing teams' power, giving up just 12 extra-base hits in 202 plate appearances, including four home runs. His best start of the season came against San Diego, when he struck out 10 batters over seven innings, giving up just one run on three hits and two walks.

Espinoza is from Huntington Beach, California, and is listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds. He will have four seasons of eligibility in Tallahassee.

He is the fifth pitcher that Jarrett and pitching coach Micah Posey have landed out of the portal this offseason. They have already added Cayden Suchy, Sebastian Lippman, Alex Philpott, and Isaiah Sheyter. They have also landed outfielder Ty Peeples, designated hitter Jackson McKenzie, and shortstop Cooper Malamazian.
